Distinguished Lecture Series

The B.M. Birla Memorial Lecture Series was instituted by the B.M. Birla Science Centre, Hyderabad over the past twenty years. The idea has been to give an opportunity to the larger scientific community to hear some of the greatest scientific minds in the world. Many eminent scientists have delivered the B.M. Birla Memorial Lecture. The G.P. Birla Distinguished Lecture Series was instituted in memory of Late Padmabhushan Shri G P Birla. Some of the eminent scientists who have delivered the G P Birla Distinguished Lectures include H.E. Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Nobel Laureates – Professors Anthony J. Leggett, Venkatraman Ramakrishnan, Serge Haroche, Prof. T. Kajita and Prof. Martin Chalfie.
