The BM Birla Planetarium has been producing sky shows on different themes since the three decades accentuating relevant astronomical facts, events and achievements. The inaugural sky show was The Astounding Universe produced in-house in 1985. Since then about thirty four shows have been produced and all of them were highly praised by a thoroughly heterogeneous audience over the years.
The current show is The Space Tourist-Lost in the Cosmos. This show takes on an intriguing journey of the Universe, beginning at the Baikonur Cosmodrome and as soon as the space craft gets near the asteroid belt, something interesting happens which takes the viewer on an unequivocal trip to mesmerizing places in the universe. The viewer eventually astounds her/himself by the grand view of billions of stars crammed in the Milky Way and many other things.
